A special message from your host, John Ahle:
"Last year's games were another big success! I want to thank everyone for coming out to make the Games better than ever. If only I could cut back a little bit on my drinking, I could have had a good time too! My butt is healing up nicely (for those of you that care). And I already fixed the steps. Preparations have already begun for the 2000 Y Games! So start getting into shape. I lift regularly, that why I am so hugh! You dudes should try it too (Weekly, Larry, etc.)! Check www.erols.com/cbachi to get info on the Games as it becomes available. Later Dudes! Yeah!

The 1999 Results
- Golf - Doc's team won again! Sweet William's 39 was too tough to beat. Sully's team captured second; Chin 3rd, forget about the last place team. Nobody came close on the 'closest to the pin'.
- Football - Tough Exciting Games! Great officiating by Ole Joe. Although it took some getting used to Louisiana rules. Charlie's Team beat Chin's in the Finals (Sector to Bachi!) Sully's team went no where after Sully suffered a season ending knee injury. Larry, Weekly, and Dan were lost without their "Big Toe".
- Tug-O-War - Doc's Team won over the overachieving Sully's team. Spikes rule!
- Volleyball - Another exciting event - Chin's team defeated Sully's team in the Finals (Ole Joe did a great job as Sully's replacement). Doc's team wilted in the heat after a strong start. Nothing to say about Charlie's team.
- Relay Race - It was great! Sure there was a lot of controversy and confusion! Charlie's team won - anchored by an impressive drinking display by Charlie Ahle! Chin and Doc tied for second. Next year we will hold this event before certain people get too inebriated.
- Closest to the Pin - Special Event (All teams agreed!) Charlie's team won easily thanks to the 'Golden Meyer' Rick Sector's amazing shot. Sweet William placed second; and Dan McGrath third (tree aided). Nobody on Chin's team could get a shot past the first tree!
- Champions - Doc's Team - led by Sweet William, Doc Vader, Fritz (of the Vermont Fritzes), and last year's Most Memorable Performer Jeff Macor!
- Second Place - Charlie's Team - Won 3 Events/Lost 3 Events - Most Memorable Performer Rick Sector, Charlie B, Steady Teddy Tenten, and Chisel Beak Charlie Ahle!
- Third Place - Chin's Team - Consistent until the end - Chin, Anthony (Man A), John (Man Z), and Eric Bearst Ahle.
- Losers - Sully's Team - Couldn't get it done without Sully. Crafty veteran Irish Dan McGrath lead the team to 2nd in Volleyball. Weekly's spikes helped in getting a 2nd in Tug-O-War. Larry's football skills locked up a 4th place finish!

Once again, the awards ceremony was fantastic - Chin gave another great speech! Doc's team proudly accepted the 'Golden Bearst' as first place finishers. Rick Sector won the coveted 'Silly Little' award as the Most Memorable Performer. Race Bannon made a special guest visit - just in time to see Charles Ahle perform some of his famous body-building poses! Fritz won the award for traveling the longest distance to get to the Games. Special Thanks to Ole Joe for his cooking and officiating.
A big 'Thank You' also goes out to Monique 'Q' Ahle for putting up with all of these 'meyers' during the Games and for taking care of Chin the other 364 days of the year!
See you on October 7, 2000!
